I'm following along with the whole house organizing project sponsored by A Bowl Full of Lemons blog. The first week was the kitchen and it took me about (ahem) four weeks to get that all situated.
Now we're moving on to the Pantry. I set up a pretty nice system in my kitchen pantry a few years ago and overall it works well. Every 6 months or so I have to take some items out and give it a good purge, and this time was no different.
The only exciting revelation I had was to move some of my lesser-used ingredients for baking and cooking to my basement pantry area in order to free up space in my kitchen pantry. Yeah, I know... not terribly mind-boggling.

Ahhhh. Much better. Only took me a couple hours and it brings me great joy to open the door and see the empty spaces smiling at me.
